Some more WIPs, with various poor photos. Sorry there is nothing finished yet but I am still feeling a bit burnt out on the orks but I am trying to do various things, including updating the blog, to keep momentum up and stay motivated. Thanks for indulging me.
Andreah and the assasin, WIP. In the case of the assasin I am trying to follow Mike Mcvey’s paint-job from the 1990s fairly closely.
More jungle ruins terrain. Not too much more to do on these…
A tank I converted a while back and just started painting. It is a looted rhino for the Blood Axes. I am learning a fair bit with every vehicle I put together….
And it was confirmed to me last week that I will get paid my annual bonus in the next pay cycle. Therefore, I immediately treated myself to a few kits (the rest will go on taking my wife out to a fancy dinner and paying off debt). You probably won’t see much of these for a couple of months. The Jagdpanther will become a Gobsmasha for the Blood Axes and the Marder another counts-as warbuggy. The Citroen was an impulse buy. It is a bit small for 40K use (when I got it out of the box – I had thought of maybe using it for a Necromunda-ish sort of conversion) so I may use it with my WWII Germans….
And I have actually finished some stuff. They are getting varnished now so expect proper photos by the end of this week 😉

Too bad the citroen is so small. A while ago I was thinking about getting some of those scale models of 1/48 civilian vehicles and rework them for use in 40k.

I’m not 100% sure that it’s too small so I might do some experiments and see. I also have a feeling that 1/35 scale would be far too big. I suppose a civilian vehicle should really be a lot (a real lot!) smaller than a tank anyway…

Hey, nice work and nice purchases too! I’m having a look to diecast vehicles and still wondering which scale may be the really suitable one for our minis. 1:35 is definitely too big, apparently anything between the 1:43 and 1:48 should work more or less, depending on the minis…
Anyway, I guess you’ll find a proper use for everything! Looking forward to see those!

1/35 is definitely way too big (except for things like oil drums and jerry cans, which the official GW versions are 1/35). 1/48 seems to be about right for most things. There is an ork tank made from a 1/48 Marder in one of my previous posts and I thought that worked pretty well. I’ll let you know how these ones go, but I would think you would be fine with what you’re looking at! 😉

That jagopanther looks like it would make an awesome ork vehicle! Any progress on the project? I have an ork army and have always thought about getting one of their superheavies but, you know… Forgeworld money…

No idea why I never replied to this comment, but yes, the Orks are coming out again with 8th ed so expect to see some more soon if you follow along!
